5SIM describes single-use verification and states that its number can be used for 10–20 minutes; longer use is unavailable. Its public flow asks for service, country and operator. OnlineSIM advertises a 15-minute, one-service number as well as an extendable rental that can receive from multiple services. Rental length and availability still need checking in the live offer.
If you need only a single permitted code during a short window, compare both activation offers. If you need repeated messages from a number, look at the rental terms rather than stretching a short activation. Neither product guarantees access months later or acceptance by a third-party service. 5SIM’s terms restrict US and Russian residents, citizens or permanent residents, and access from those territories; check buyer eligibility separately from the country of the number.

Operator choice helps narrow a search, not predict delivery
An operator picker is useful if the receiving service or your legitimate task specifies one. 5SIM exposes that step in its public ordering path. We did not verify an equivalent operator filter in OnlineSIM’s public interface. A selected operator does not prove that a specific SMS will arrive or that the receiving service will accept the number.

Read the two kinds of refund language carefully
5SIM’s terms say a cancelled or uncompleted order is credited to virtual balance within the stated conditions; a completed order is treated differently. OnlineSIM’s homepage FAQ discusses returning funds to balance for an unused temporary number, while its refund policy says refund decisions are case by case and excludes network outcomes including non-delivery. Do not treat the homepage statement as a universal promise.
For either service, ask two separate questions: what happens to the charge for an unused number, and can an unspent deposit be withdrawn to the original payment method? Check current terms for the exact tariff and payment method. We did not test claims processing.
